WI Jersey Breeders Association Annual Meeting
Kaila and Colin were recognized by the WI Junior Jersey Breeders Association for their achievements in 2016. Kaila was crowned the 2016 WI Jersey Queen, the WI Junior Jersey Breeder of the Year, Patti Endres Memorial Award Winner, and is the national nominee for the Jersey Youth Achievement Award. Kaila and Colin also received many awards in regards to their cows' production abilities.
4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl
When Kaila first joined 4-H, she really wanted to compete in dairy events. Nicolle decided to reestablish that Shawano County 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl Team and in 2015 that hard work paid off. The senior team, which Kaila was on, won the state competition and qualified for the national competition in Louisville, KY. The team placed fourth in that competition and was very proud of how they faired against the tough competition of the other states.
4-H Dairy Management
2015 was a busy year for Kaila, as she also competed at the National 4-H Dairy Management Contest in Harrisburg, PA. The team had to do several different competions with many different categories and ended up taking second as a team. Kaila was the tenth high indvidiual, with Ben and Mason coming in the next placings.
Outstanding Young Farmers
In 2008, Ron and Nicolle were named the WI Outstanding Young Farmers. This reflects the farmers operation, community involvement, and future goals for the herd. They had the opportunity to compete at the national competition in Oregon where they met a lot of great individuals with interest in agriculture!
Production Awards
Milk-n-More has also been recognized by breed organizations and local companies for the performance for their milking herd. They have had some of the top producing animals in the state and nation and strive to continue breeding animals that will do so! They are also supported by AgroPur, which is where their milk is shipped to.
